Lahore is the second highest populated city and capital of
province of Punjab, Pakistan. This city remains the cultural, economic,
political, transportation and educational hub and enriched with millennium

Lahore was famous with the name of Lavapuri ("City of Lava" in
Sanskrit) was discovered by Prince Lava. After the partition of British-India,

there lies a tomb of Dr. Allama M.Iqbal(dreamer
of Pakistan, Philosopher and Poet of East). The mausoleum is a mixture of
Afghan and Moorish styles of architecture and is constructed entirely of red
sandstone which was quarried and brought from Rajasthan. Now see forward, you
are seeing the huge boundaries like a Fort, Yup. This is Lahore Fort remained
under the governance of great Mughal Emperor Akbar between 1556 to 1605 AD, the
trapezoidal composition is spread over 20 hectares.

To explore some cultural values, Lahore Museum (containing statues of Buddha) is a right place for
you. The building of Museum was designed by Sir. Ganga Ram in 1864, just
opposite to Punjab University.
